The work is inspired by the legend of the two brothers of Vietri sul Mare.

Amid the breathtaking scenery of the Amalfi Coast, directly opposite the beach of Marina di Vietri, stand the Two Brothers. A name that highlights the striking resemblance between two rocks, their presence in the enchanting sea of ​​Vietri sul Mare is linked to a legend (actually, there are two legends, but this is the most fascinating).

The legend tells of two young shepherds who, having reached the beach with their sheep, were captivated by a young girl sleeping in the middle of the sea.
Following a sudden storm, the shepherds threw themselves into the water in an attempt to rescue the girl from the clutches of the sea, unaware that she was the daughter of the god of the sea, Neptune. Unfortunately, their attempt was in vain, and they perished along with the flock that had followed them. Struck by the boys' courageous gesture, Neptune transformed the shepherds into two large rocks, known as The Two Brothers, surrounding them with smaller rocks in memory of the sheep in their flock.
